About Us
It was harvest time on the ranch, late fall 2007, the family is up early in anticipation of harvesting natures bounty. Atlas Peak has been home to the Hammond families since 1882. We always look forward to carrying on the tradition of producing olive oil from our olive orchard each year.
So at the crack of dawn, it’s all hands out to the trees. Gathering olives has always been hard work but we love it. Cathy and her young son lead the way, filling up the bins. We even pick from our oldest trees, some still standing from the early days of the ranch, adding to the tradition of Atlas Peak Harvests.
The 2008 appellation will be pressed and stored to age for a few long months, then the oil is ready to bottle in the early spring. The Hammond family will be ready to offer you a taste at the spring Farmers market on the Square in Sonoma, it will be tasty for sure!
